magento - How to assign a product to be taxable in multiple states? -


my concern developing site in magento client needs ability specify taxes per state @ category or product level.

to more specific, there products in store taxable in more 1 states electronic items taxable in ny, nj , ca.

is there way can achieve this?

magento allows lot flexibility in setting tax rates. go sales -> tax -> manage tax rates , specify many rates you'd there. rates can apply whole countries, whole states, , specific zip codes.
