asp.net mvc - Pointers to speed up web app startup time -


my saas asp.net mvc web app startup time 20 30 seconds. typical usage pattern tied business hours. so, when first user in morning browses home page, page takes 20 30 seconds load. thereafter, performance on subsequent page loads not problem.

it's running on cloud-hosted infrastructure...win2008 r2, quad core xeon 6gb ram.

any pointers can improve startup time?

the problem might application being shutdown during idle periods. try setting a service periodically make request application , keep alive.
