unable to query the external hive table in which data is being parsed using regex -


i being able fire select * kind of queries not select col1....type of queries. throws following exception

@ankur found solution problem. need add path of hive-contrib-..*.jar in classpath. or can add path in hive cli before fire query :

add jar /home/hadoop/hive/lib/hive-contrib-0.8.1.jar; (mind version of hive)
