Pentaho: Generate a report first and then serve it in different formats -


i've created report using pentaho report designer , saved .prpt file. i've included file in java ee application , using pentaho api's display report in different formats i.e. html, pdf, excel, etc.

is there way can generate report once , serve in different formats i.e. have sql run once. having set way huge performance improvement.

take @ report caching. new feature since platform version 4.5 - user reports can cached, on per user per session basis. if you're not maintaining session data wont cached?

it may need tweak cache configuration.
