vb.net - Special characters in HTML -


i trying retrieve specific information european web site. now, problem facing strings containing special characters such "ä". when try write same text file coming "�a". how avoid this? code in vb.net. there no html codes special characters in response.

in general, should able using appropriate character coding utf-8 (which assume trying convert to)
