Eclipse no longer can auto import java Classes -


a few days ago eclipse stopped being able auto import classes. when have class i'm using, bufferedreader, need import hit ctrl+shift+o , imports magically appear. now, basic imports list or scanner sit there squiggly , red. have 1.6jre included part of project, , when manually import them work.

this huge annoyance , time sink now. i'm open suggestions fix problem.

i have seen behavior before. closing , reopening eclipse resolves it. have had recreate project source, can painful if have lot of dependencies , you're not using maven. should file/refresh @ top level make sure you're in sync filesystem
