Change in Google Earth Collada Support with Version 7.1 -


i have application creates collada models in google earth worked fine in version 7.0 7.1 colors stored in 24bit png texture no longer displayed. model displays no colors. tried switching jpg (supposed allowed in collada) didn't work either. know problem might be?

additional: discovered if unzip kmz file model display colors texture. if rezip different zip program (7zip) problem returns.

google has acknowledged bug in 7.1:

"we can confirm loss of textures in ge 7.1.1.1580 (beta) images embedded in kmz. if 7.1 required, workarounds include reference network, web or local path outside kmz (as have found). think glitch in beta, relating extraction of textures zip archive, , expect see fix in later update.

for example, change in access alternate image outside of kmz:

c:/test/sample.png sample.png

when save place (*.kmz), ge 7.1 still copies image zip archive , writes sample.png doc.kml, sign. -wxazygy"
