apache - How to get rid of 403 Forbidden error on WordPress root folder on MAMP server -


i have had major problems installing mamp.

it installed without problems, , can mamp welcome page, phpmyadmin page, , else @ http://localhost:8888/mamp/?language=english.

i can access static test page in test folder in document root (/users/username/hosting/test/test.html).

however, when try access in wordpress document root imported live site (/users/username/hosting/wordpress) 403 forbidden error.

i checked apache error log, , showing when try , access in wordpress folder:

[fri may 03 08:59:10 2013] [error] [client ::1] client denied server configuration: /users/reae/hosting/wordpress/wp-admin

i on day 2 trying work out. have uninstalled , reinstalled mamp multiple times, , tried can think of fix this. appreciated.

i figured out. had hidden .htaccess file in wordpress folder.

removed , fine.
